Chapter 17. PEDDLERS AND SOLICITORS

§ 17-1. Definitions.

The word "peddler" as used in this chapter shall include any person as the word "person" is defined in section 1-2, supra, traveling by foot, or any type of conveyance, from place to place upon public streets and sidewalks, transporting merchandise offered for sale, or making sales and delivering articles to purchasers, or who sell the same from any type of conveyance, and one who solicits orders for the subsequent delivery of merchandise, shall be deemed a peddler.

The word "merchandise" shall include all forms of personal property, both tangible and intangible, including all forms of contracts.
